History Diorama
Due December 17, 2018
A diorama is a three-dimensional display. You are to build a diorama depicting a person from your history book. For example, for Columbus you might make 3 ships sailing on the ocean.
Directions:
1. Choose a person from your history book.
2. Sketch a scene or an object that would represent your person.
3. Gather materials to make the diorama. Diorama makers often use easy-to-find material such as:
-bars of soap
-bottle caps
-clay
-cloth scraps
-clothespins
-corks
-empty thread spools
-shoelaces
-toothpicks
-yarn
The more "made" objects the better the grade.
For a backdrop, use a SHOE BOX size box (please not larger)
4. Include a 3x5 card that gives the name of your person and a short description of your scene or object. Be sure to put your name so that people will know who made the diorama.
